Economists were expecting 170,000 additional jobs last month, but the actual number was 216,000 which was a slight increase from November. The overall unemployment rate held steady at 3.7% Transportation and Warehousing lost around 23,000 jobs this month and is down 100,000 since the high in October of 2022.
